Fans of the popular Korean drama “Stranger,” also known as “Forest of Secrets,” are excited as a spin-off is currently in production.
The spin-off will revolve around the character of Seo Dong Jae, and Lee Joon Hyuk has been confirmed to reprise his role as the lead actor.
Studio Dragon has confirmed that the spin-off will be titled “Good or Bad Dong Jae,” and Lee Soo Yeon, the screenwriter of “Forest of Secrets,” will be the creator of the spin-off.
However, there has yet to be any information about the broadcast schedule and station.
A spin-off of “Stranger” in works
“Stranger” first aired in 2017 and followed the story of an emotionless prosecutor named Hwang Si Mok (played by Cho Seung Woo) and a friendly police officer named Han Yeo Jin (played by Bae Doona) who work together to solve hidden mysteries and investigate corruption.
In 2020, “Stranger” returned for a second season, where Hwang Si Mok and Han Yeo Jin reunite after two years in different circumstances.
They find themselves on opposite sides of a tense situation involving the police and the prosecutor’s office.
In both seasons, Lee Joon Hyuk played the role of Seo Dong Jae, a corrupt prosecutor. His performance received critical acclaim for his ability to play a disliked yet relatable character.
The stranger returns, and so does Lee Joon Hyuk
Now, Lee Joon Hyuk will reprise his role as Seo Dong Jae in the spin-off focusing on his character’s story.
Fans are excited to see what kind of story will be woven around his character, and with Lee Soo Yeon as the creator, expectations are high for the spin-off’s quality.
Although the production has not yet announced a broadcast schedule, fans eagerly anticipate the release of “Good or Bad Dong Jae.”
With Lee Joon Hyuk leading the way, it will surely be another exciting addition to the “Stranger” universe.
