Rumors Swirl Around ILY Kpop Group’s Future — Agency Sets the Record Straight

After their Japan concert, ILY:1 sparked disbandment rumors with a social media post. Fans speculated, but the Kpop band’s agency quickly denied the claims.

Following a heartfelt performance in Japan, fourth-generation Kpop band ILY:1 found themselves at the center of disbandment rumors, prompting their agency to release an official statement.

Post-Concert Message Sparks Speculation

ILY:1, a rising Kpop band that debuted in 2022 under FCENM, recently held their Dear My Only:1 concert in Japan. The event was met with an emotional response from both the group and their fans, known as OnlyOne.

After the concert, ILY:1 shared a touching message on social media, expressing deep gratitude and love for their supporters:

“It was truly an unforgettable time, filled with laughter and tears shared between ILY:1 and OnlyOne.
Thank you for showing us that the heart that cheers someone on can be so beautiful and warm —
and that such a heart can become the greatest force that moves life forward.
Now, as we return to our everyday lives,
I hope the precious memories we made with ILY:1 can give strength to OnlyOne each and every day until we meet again.”

However, the phrase “return to our everyday lives” stirred speculation online, with many fans and media outlets interpreting it as a subtle announcement of the group’s disbandment. Reports even surfaced claiming that several employees from FCENM had resigned, fueling further uncertainty.

FCENM Clarifies: No Disbandment for ILY:1

On June 24, FCENM issued an official statement through the group’s X (formerly Twitter) account, directly addressing the growing rumors. The agency firmly denied any disbandment or suspension of activities:

“Currently, ILY:1 is continuing their group activities without disbandment or suspension.
The members are in the process of regrouping and preparing to greet fans with an even better version of themselves.
Speculative content that differs from the truth may cause unnecessary concern and misunderstanding for both the members and fans.
We kindly ask that you refrain from spreading or sharing unconfirmed information, and instead refer to our official channels for accurate updates.”

FCENM urged fans to rely on official channels and discouraged the spread of misinformation. They also expressed appreciation for the continued support and warm encouragement shown to the ILY Kpop group.

While fans were momentarily alarmed, the clarification has put minds at ease. ILY:1 continues to move forward as a united Kpop band, and fans can expect more from them in the future.
