All-Star Tank Carnival is planned for Nintendo Switch 2 in Japan in 2027. The same team that created Girls und Panzer Dream Tank Match for PlayStation 4 is behind the new title.
As the name suggests, tank combat is the main attraction, with players taking direct control of the vehicles. The game also lets players step out of the tank and control Miho, exploring a recreation of Ōarai, the town from the story, which is itself modeled on the real Ōarai.
For reference, Dream Tank Match arrived on PS4 in Japan and Southeast Asia, with English text support, in February 2018. The Dream Tank Match DX version for Switch followed in the same regions, again with English text, in February 2019.
Bokosuka Rush Heads to Smartphones
Bokosuka Rush is a smartphone game, and G Holdings has not announced when it will launch. The setting is the Boko Museum, a location featured in the Girls und Panzer der Film anime. In the story, Miho and Alice visit the museum and try out its tank simulator, only to find Boko waiting as their opponent.
Players can mix and match crew members with the tanks they pilot. Crew members grow stronger over time, and that growth unlocks more abilities for the tanks. The setup should appeal to fans who enjoy experimenting with different team combinations, and it gives the franchise’s colorful cast of tank crews a fresh way to take part in the action.
Between the console game and the mobile release, longtime followers of the series will have two very different ways to revisit its world.
