A new official website that opened on Saturday has confirmed that Miki Yoshikawa’s manga Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires (Hiiragi-san no Kyūketsu Jijō) is getting a television anime adaptation. The studio behind it is UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS, and the site also revealed a key visual to mark the occasion.
A Family With a Secret
Kodansha’s K MANGA service publishes the series in English and introduces its hero, Shota Minamoto, a junior high student growing up in a children’s home. His life changes when a family living in a grand, Japanese-style estate adopts him. The household welcomes him warmly, and Shota slowly lowers his guard. But the family is hiding something the outside world can never learn.
The publisher sums the series up as a cozy, bloody love comedy, and it frames the story as a different take on what a family can look like. The mix of warmth, humor, and a dash of vampire lore is clearly the main draw.
The Creator Behind the Hiragi-san’s House of Vampires
Yoshikawa is also the creator of A Couple of Cuckoos, another family-flavored romantic comedy, so readers of that series will recognize the blend of comedy and heart. The vampire story began life as a one-shot “family comedy” manga in 2019. It then launched as a full series in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in October 2021. Kodansha released the sixth compiled book volume in November 2025, which leaves new readers with a manageable backlog to catch up on before the anime arrives.
What Comes Next
The announcement so far is light on specifics. The website has not yet shared a premiere window, cast list or full staff lineup, so those details will likely follow in later updates. Fans of supernatural comedies and found-family stories will want to keep an eye on the official site and social channels for news.
For anyone who wants a head start, the English version on K MANGA is the simplest place to begin. Starting now means being fully caught up on Shota’s strange new household by the time the first episode airs.
