Indian anime fans had it rough from the start. Most of the modern-day anime shows are either subbed in the English language, or if the show catches the eye of international audiences, the studio dubs the Anime in English. But what about the Indian audience?
See, 90% of Indians can speak can understand the English language but what we cannot understand is the inside jokes, theory, culture, and terminology in anime.
For example, in Japanese, lunch boxes are known as bento, and for an average Indian, it’s hard to guess what a particular term means while we’re watching the visuals and reading the subtitles simultaneously.
I am not saying Indian people are incompetent or they are bad guessers. As a matter of fact, India has one of the highest literacy rates in neighboring countries.
Indian audiences recently started watching anime, and we still have miles to go before we can understand the Japanese culture in anime, manga, and live-action adaptations.
To solve the problem firsthand, Indian dubbing artists and hardcore anime fans started fan dubbing anime shows in the Hindi language. Here in this article, we will look at 5 Hindi dubbed anime shows and where to find them.
