After allegations from bullying victims surfaced on the internet, the company decided to drop Garam and keep LE SSERAFIM as a five-member group. The rookie girl group previously consisted of 6 members — Kim Chae-won, Sakura Miyawaki, KAZUHA, Hong Eun-Chae, Huh Yun-jin, and Kim Ga-ram. Two members were minors, and Kim Ga-ram was just 16 years old when she debuted with the group in their first extended play (EP), Fearless.

In the post, the company stated that the contract with Kim Garam does not stand now, and she is being terminated as the fifth member of LE SSERAFIM. The company also shared their sincerest apologies to the group’s fans, who were just starting to like the group, considering it debuted not long ago.
The Tweet also shared insights about the future plans for LE SSERAFIM, stating, “LE SSERAFIM will continue their activities as a five-member group, and we will spare no effort to support the group to grow further as artists through their music and performance.”

After Garam’s departure, LE SSERAFIM will continue as usual. As we can see from the reviews and comments, fans seem to be accepting the new change, and we can all agree that the decision will build strong bonds within the group of five members who will now represent the fourth-generation Kpop groups in the future.
