IU may possibly reunite with the director of “My Mister” for a new drama. Not only that, Park Bo Gum is reportedly being chosen to accompany the beautiful singer. IU’s last role was in the 2019 K-dramas series Hotel Del Luna, where the actress played the role of Jang Man-wol. So basically, it has been almost four years since the actress made a comeback in the Korean drama medium.
According to sources, IU will reportedly star in a new drama directed by director Kim Won Seok who previously produced “My Mister.” However, nothing has been revealed about the drama’s plot, characters, and story. Still, it is safe to say that fans eagerly awaited IU’s comeback to the medium, and they will finally get it soon.
IU’s drama comeback is almost here
According to Korean-based publication Xportsnews, the drama will be released soon, and it will be written by Im Sang Choon, who previously wrote the script and story for popular Korean dramas like Fight My Way” and “When the Camellia Blooms.”
The news comes after IU’s agency, EDAM Entertainment, confirmed that she was offered a role in an upcoming South Korean drama. Still, nothing was confirmed about it or was not finalized. However, news outlets suggest a possibility that IU will be again joining the acting world and will again give her fans a dose of her acting skills and charm.
While discussing the matter, IU’s talent agency said, “she has received a casting offer for the drama and is currently in talks to appear,” hinting that IU may join the acting world again.
Park Bo Gum is also rumored to be starring in the drama. However, the agency immediately clarified that he had not received any casting offers for the project.
“Nothing has happened in connection with the next project. He has not received a script or any contact (about the drama),” said the agency.
The news of Park Bo Gum being cast in a drama with IU may have been leaked by insiders. Many hope the casting news is accurate because the combination of these two talented stars will bring something new to their fans and Korean drama fans.
