HYBE, the music label behind successful K-Pop artists like BTS, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, and GFRIEND has finally decided to expand their music business in the Indian markets.

It is a piece of great news for Indian K-Pop fans because HYBE (formerly BigHit) is going to expand its music market to India. K-pop bands, especially the biggest boy band BTS craze is increasing day by day but due to the unavailability of resources, fans can’t enjoy major services like the purchase of K-Pop albums, official concert tours.

Over the past few years, the world has been captivated by the rise of South Korean pop titans BTS. Especially in India, the seven-member group has made its mark as one of the most influential musical artists of our time. Their rise fueled the success and eventual worldwide expansion of their label HYBE.

At the beginning of the pandemic when the world and artists lost hopes for creating any music, BTS still made their way and launched their first English song “Dynamite” and it broke all records and became the most viewed video in 24 hours, making a record of 101.1 million on youtube and India contributed a reported 8.6 million views to the total of 101.1 million.

You can say when Indians indulge in something, they give their 100 percent. With the rising success of BTS in India, rolling stone India held an interview with HYBE CEO, Bang Si-Hyuk you talking about how the company is taking over the music industry.

Throughout the interview, Bang Si-Hyuk explained that the company on the verge of bankruptcy is now one of the leading names in South Korean entertainment and a rising power in global pop culture.

When Rolling Stone India mentioned the BTS song “Dynamite”, their album already had the exponential rise and a number of views in India united HYBE to see if it is a meaningful decision.

It also confirms that they will open to exploring the possibilities in an emerging global music market like India.

The possibilities are, HYBE can start their services to India for album purchase and a pop-up store can be opened, reducing the shipping cost so that fans from India can buy the official album directly.
