Recently, the news about a possible anime adaption of Fuuto Tantei has been going around. Today, the studio behind the anime shared the information about a full-length trailer of Fuuto Tantei to confirm the same. The trailer has all the fun and action for anime fans who want to see the “Kamen Rider W” animated.

The English translation of the title is “Futo Detectives “, and it follows a sequel to the classic “Kamen Rider W”. The anime adaption is based on the live-action movie starring Shotaro Ishinomori, Riku Sanjo, and Masaki Sato. The anime will begin via the video distribution service U-NEXT from August 2022.

The trailer for Fuuto Tantei looked terrific and was released a few hours ago. We can hear detective/James Bond-style music with a few shorts from the series inside the trailer. The anime also introduces us to 5-6 characters, including the two main characters from the original live-action movie. In the original TV series, the number of characters was almost ten, but in the anime adaptation trailer, we can see Shotaro, Philip, Tokime, Akiko, Ryu, and Yuki Samurai.

At the end of the trailer, we can see the release date of the anime. The trailer reveals that the anime will begin from August 2022 and will be available via U-Next and Tokyo MX. Coming to the story part of the anime, the plot basically revolves around private detective Shotaro Sakata and his partner Philip. These two detectives find a solution for people in distress, but a new mysterious event changes their life, and they begin hunting down the main culprit behind the incident.

The trailer uses a wide range of colors and presents a darker theme towards the plot. In the midst of all this, Shotaro Sakata and Philip solve a mystery like no other. The characters are animated in a classic Japanese style and resemble late 90s hand-drawn characters. As per the official media, Yoshimasa Hosoya will be playing the role of Shotaro, and Koki Uchiyama will be voicing Philip.

Since the announcement, the people behind the anime adaptation have been running a retweet campaign, which will run until March 26th, 2022. Under this campaign, the company will release six autographed character visual posters via a random draw of lots.
